Privacy policy

This policy explains how ConfettiSaaS collects and handles data on our website and in the Confetti Burst Chrome extension.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy describes how ConfettiSaaS (“we”) handles information when you use our website at confettisaas.com and when you use our Confetti Burst browser extension for Google Chrome.

The website and the extension are separate products: the extension does not send your browsing or click activity to ConfettiSaaS servers. Details for each are below.

2. ConfettiSaaS website — information we collect

When you submit a SaaS product for listing, we collect the contact and listing information you provide so we can publish, review, and manage your entry.

We may collect aggregated usage information about how visitors use the directory to improve performance and product decisions.

3. ConfettiSaaS website — analytics, hosting, and cookies

We use Umami analytics and host the site on Vercel. Those services process technical and usage data according to their own privacy practices.

We do not currently use tracking cookies for marketing. If that changes, we will update this policy.

4. Confetti Burst Chrome extension

Confetti Burst adds a confetti animation to mouse clicks on webpages, with an on/off toggle and adjustable intensity from the extension’s toolbar popup. It runs on sites you visit because a content script is injected on pages so clicks can trigger the animation.

The extension requests the storage permission so your settings can be saved in chrome.storage.sync: only two values are stored — whether the effect is enabled and the burst intensity (a number from 1 to 100). That lets your preferences apply across browser sessions and sync across devices signed into Chrome. We do not receive this data on our servers; it stays in your browser and in Google’s sync infrastructure for Chrome as described by Google.

Click events are handled only in the page to run the animation. They are not logged, uploaded, or transmitted to ConfettiSaaS or to third parties by the extension.

The extension does not use remote code: all JavaScript (including the bundled confetti library) is packaged inside the extension. We do not sell or transfer user data from the extension to third parties, use it for purposes unrelated to providing the extension, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

5. Data storage, retention, and security

Website and submission data are stored with access controls and safeguards intended to prevent unauthorized use.

Extension settings exist only as described above; we do not maintain a separate database of your extension activity on ConfettiSaaS systems.

6. Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (for example, submission data) by contacting us at the email below.
